Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the world and also capital city one of the largest democracy in the world.
Delhi has two entirely separate cities: the New Delhi-famous about grand design by British architect Lutyens and city of Mughals or the Old Delhi. The Chandni Chowk is the main thoroughfare which will take you into a compelling web of mysterious dark lanes and bazaars. You can also see the Mughal seat of power with it walls which are long 2 km long, Jama Masjid Indian largest mosque with two 40m tall minarets. The most famous is Humayuns Tomb which is World Heritage 16th century tomb surrounded by garden. Also Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple which is huge temple of red sandstone. Dont miss Jantar Mantar the astronomical observatory, the Purana Qila-the Old Fort and Karol Bagh-so it said that is to be the alrgest shooping area in Asia.
