THAILAND

THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND is situated on the peninsula Indochina in the southeast Asia. It borders on Laos and Burma to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the east, Malaysia to the south and Burma to the west. Until 1939 the offical name of the country was Siam. It has population of 64 million people; 95% of the population is Buddhist. The offical language is Thai. The capital is Bangkok.
