If you are a keen holiday goer, then you are sure to love visiting vibrant and exciting cities around the world. Every city and town offers something unique; London and New York for example have fantastic Broadway and West End shows, as well as fancy restaurants, whereas cities like Budapest and Rome provide stunning architecture. But if you are in London and you would like to visit somewhere which has historical buildings, as well as entertainment and photography opportunities, then Greenwich - in South East London - is the place to visit.

The grounds are open to the public, so feel free to walk around and admire the buildings. Many films use The Royal Naval College as a backdrop; movies including The Duchess, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Golden Compass, have been filmed here.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre, then Greenwich park makes the perfect retreat; you can visit the Royal Observatory at the top of the hill, or wander around the park where you might even spot roaming deer. Once you have reached the top of the hill, the view is astonishing; you can see the Greenwich University campus, the 02 arena and even Canary Wharf, making it a great photo opportunity.
